The children are challenged with more exercises, down-the-room traveling, and performance skills and combinations.
Aquamarines continue on with their ballet exam study and have the opportunity to be part of our performance teams if they wish.
Our Ballet program introduces young dancers to movement, music, and the basics of classical ballet in a warm, supportive environment. Students learn simple positions, posture, and arm movements while building strength, coordination, balance, and confidence.
Through music and imaginative movement, children develop creativity and a love of ballet.
Our Jazz Dance program for Year One students is energetic and fun, encouraging children to move with rhythm, creativity, and confidence. Through imaginative activities and simple choreography, dancers explore movement in a supportive and upbeat environment.
Our Hip Hop program introduces Year One students to basic combinations, simple footwork, and fun, age-appropriate choreography.
Classes are upbeat and welcoming, giving children a playful introduction to the style and energy of hip-hop.
Our Acro program is an exciting introduction to acrobatics, where young dancers build strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness in a safe, supportive space. Students learn basic tumbling, balancing, and beginner acro skills at a pace that suits them.
These classes help students develop the skills needed for musical theatre, where stories come to life through dialogue, music, and dance. Musical theatre is a great way to give students a well-rounded performing arts experience while having fun.
Our students love tap classes, which are a fun way to move, make music, and develop rhythm. In class, dancers learn to use their feet to create percussive sounds, building coordination, timing, and musicality.
Along the way, they also develop confidence, focus, and a love of movement, all while enjoying the energy and creativity that tap dance brings.
Our Cheer Dance program is an energetic introduction to cheerleading, where young dancers learn basic cheers, chants, and arm movements in a playful, age-appropriate setting..
