Taking Classes
Where are you located?
Our Toukley studio is opposite the Village Green. If you head into the Coles car park you will see us above the Toukley Car Park Butchery. Entry is via the Ron Alt Service Lane directly next to the butcher.Our Lake Munmorah Studio’s are the performance studio in Lake Munmorah High School. Carters Road Lake Munmorah.
Can Parents Watch?
Unfortunately no parents are unable to watch class (apart from introductory classes for little ones). Having people watching distracts the students and the learning process.
Where is the concert?
Our concert this year will be held on 4th and 5th of Dec at The Art House Wyong. Rehearsals will begin in week two of term four.
What age can my child start?
Around 1 is perfect for My Big Person And Me, 3 is a good age for our other Lil Groovers Classes.
How do i enroll?
The best place to start is to do a free trial so you child will know what they like and what they don't. That can be set up here: https://cmda.com.au/trial
When is a good time to start?
This depends on which time of the year you start. The earlier the better. Usually by the middle of term there has been some choreography started however you will be able to catch up by watching and learning any new choreography. All our teachers and students are wonderful and will help you along the way.
What time are your classes?
We basically run some mornings, every afternoon and Saturday classes. Lil Groovers are during the day. Have a look at our schedule and you will find what classes run at what times that would work for you.
What happens if i miss a class?
Missing class happens for many reasons but please try and make attendance important. Dance is a team sport and your peers rely on you being there. If you have missed some chorey during absences please try and catch that up on your own as it isn’t fair to other students to have to go through it all again. If you are still unsure talk to your teacher and we will make it work. We are always on your team. We can organise your child to attend another class as a make up if possible.
What do i wear to class?

Wear comfy, appropriate clothes and shoes you will be able to dance in. Sometimes barefoot is better than the wrong choice of shoes.
How many people are in a class?
Our classes are maxed at 20 students.
Do i have to wear a uniform?
Uniform isn’t compulsory but very much preferred.Please refer to our uniform page for what is available : https://cmda.com.au/products-list
We have many different and new styles each year. All students must wear hair back off face.
Ballet students must wear leotard, ballet tights and shoes. Hair in bun.
Billing
Do you have a trial period?
Your child is welcome to trial any classes for the first week. After that you will be charged the appropriate amount for the classes attending.

If our classes aren’t for you after your first week we will just cancel it out.
How do i pay?
Payment can be made anyway that works for you. Weekly, monthly or termly. Direct transfer or Cash in a marked envelop in our fees our fees box or given directly to your teacher. All classes must be paid whether they are attended or not.

How much are costumes?
Costume prices vary so much.Generally if it is a new costume it’s around $90.
All costumes will require a deposit before we order them for you.
