Students are introduced to new challenges such as travelling across the floor, learning longer exercises, and developing performance skills.
Along the way, they build confidence, coordination, and a genuine love of dance.
Pink Diamond dancers may choose to begin ballet exam classes and, if they’re ready, can also step into competition classes. Competitions are a great way to enjoy performing, work as part of a team, and celebrate how far they’ve come.
This program is an exciting next step in your child’s dance journey—full of learning, creativity, and fun.

Through music and imaginative movement, children develop creativity and a love of ballet.
At CMDA, we follow the RAD ballet syllabus.
Jazz Program
Our Jazz Dance program for Year One students is energetic and fun, encouraging children to move with rhythm, creativity, and confidence. Through imaginative activities and simple choreography, dancers explore movement in a supportive and upbeat environment.
Jazz helps develop coordination, balance, flexibility, and musicality while building confidence and a love of movement. The focus is on enjoyment, self-expression, and discovering the fun, high-energy style of jazz.
Hip Hop Program
Our Hip Hop program introduces Year One students to basic combinations, simple footwork, and fun, age-appropriate choreography.
Classes are upbeat and welcoming, giving children a playful introduction to the style and energy of hip-hop.
With a mix of freestyle, guided exercises, and beginner routines, dancers build rhythm, confidence, and creativity while enjoying the freedom of self-expression in a supportive environment.
Acro Program
Our Acro program is an exciting introduction to acrobatics, where young dancers build strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness in a safe, supportive space. Students learn basic tumbling, balancing, and beginner acro skills at a pace that suits them.
Through playful, age-appropriate activities, children gain confidence, focus, and a sense of achievement while discovering the fun and thrill of acro movement.
It’s a great way for kids to challenge themselves, try new things, and have a blast while moving their bodies.
Cheer Program
Our Cheer Dance program is an energetic introduction to cheerleading, where young dancers learn basic cheers, chants, and arm movements in a playful, age-appropriate setting. Students develop rhythm, coordination, and confidence while exploring the lively world of cheer.
Cheer is all about teamwork, positivity, and supporting each other. Through group games, partner work, and simple routines, children learn to work together, celebrate successes, and enjoy being part of a spirited team. This program encourages confidence, self-expression, and a love of movement—all while having fun!
Tap Program
Our students love tap classes, which are a fun way to move, make music, and develop rhythm. In class, dancers learn to use their feet to create percussive sounds, building coordination, timing, and musicality.
Along the way, they also develop confidence, focus, and a love of movement, all while enjoying the energy and creativity that tap dance brings.
Tap is great for learning patterns and counting, so students are practicing a bit of math while having fun.
Musical Theatre Program
These classes help students develop the skills needed for musical theatre, where stories come to life through dialogue, music, and dance. Musical theatre is a great way to give students a well-rounded performing arts experience while having fun.
Students work on acting, singing, and dancing, learning to bring characters and stories to life. Through games, exercises, and short performances, they build confidence, stage presence, and teamwork—all while enjoying the excitement of performing.
Competition Classes
Our Competition Classes are by invite or enquiry only and are designed for dancers ready to commit to a team environment. Students must also be enrolled in ballet and technical classes, which provide the essential foundation for strong technique and well-rounded skills.
These classes focus on mastering choreography, refining technique, and building confidence, while emphasising the importance of teamwork, commitment, and supporting fellow dancers.
