AQUAMARINE YEAR THREE PROGRAM

Our Aquamarine program offers dancers in year three of their academic schooling an opportunity to continue their dance study in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.

Dancers progress through the program as they develop skills and gain strength, depending on their chosen genre class.

The children are challenged with more exercises, down-the-room traveling, and performance skills and combinations.

Aquamarines continue on with their ballet exam study and have the opportunity to be part of our performance teams if they wish.

Dancers do not need to have completed prior programs to begin at any level.

Ballet Program

Our Ballet program introduces dancers to movement, music, and the basics of classical ballet. Students learn simple positions, posture, and arm movements while building strength, coordination, balance, and confidence.

Through music and imaginative movement, children develop creativity and a love of ballet.

At CMDA, we follow the RAD ballet syllabus

Jazz Program

Our Jazz Dance program for Year Three students is energetic and fun, encouraging children to move with rhythm and creativity Through imaginative activities and simple choreography, dancers explore movement in a supportive and upbeat environment.

Jazz helps develop coordination, balance, flexibility, and musicality while building confidence and a love of movement.

.

Hip Hop Program

Our Hip Hop program introduces students to funcombinations, strong footwork, and fun, age-appropriate choreography.

With a mix of freestyle, guided exercises, and beginner routines, dancers build rhythm, confidence, and creativity while enjoying the freedom of self-expression in a supportive environment. They will love hip hop!!!

Acro Program

Our Acro program develops strength, flexibility, and coordination through tumbling, balancing, and foundational acrobatics. Classes are structured to challenge students safely while building confidence. Dancers progress at their own pace, developing skills and enjoying the excitement of acrobatics in a supportive environment. The program also encourages creativity and self-expression as students explore new ways to move and perform.

Musical Theatre

These classes help students develop the skills needed for musical theatre, where stories come to life through dialogue, music, and dance. Musical theatre is a great way to give students a well-rounded performing arts experience while having fun.

Students work on acting, singing, and dancing, learning to bring characters and stories to life. Through games, exercises, and short performances, they build confidence, stage presence, and teamwork.

Tap Program

Our tap classes are a fun way to move, make music, and develop rhythm. In class, dancers learn to use their feet to create percussive sounds, building coordination, timing, and musicality.

Along the way, they also develop confidence, focus, and a love of movement, all while enjoying the energy and creativity that tap dance brings.

Tap is great for learning patterns and counting, so students are practicing a bit of math while having fun.

Cheer Program

Our Cheer Dance program is an energetic introduction to cheerleading, where young dancers learn basic cheers, chants, and arm movements in a playful, age-appropriate setting..

Cheer is all about teamwork, positivity, and supporting each other.

Through group games, partner work, and simple routines, children learn to work together, celebrate successes, and enjoy being part of a spirited team.

Contemporary

In our Contemporary Dance Program, Year Two students explore the fundamentals of contemporary dance through playful, age-appropriate activities. With creative exercises, simple choreography, and imaginative play, they can express themselves in a fun and supportive environment. This program helps build confidence, coordination, and a love of movement from an early age.

Acro Contemporary

Our Acro Contemporary classes combine acrobatics with contemporary dance, teaching students to move seamlessly from floor to standing with rolls, handstands, and bridges turned into leaps and flowing lines. Classes focus on strength, control, and creativity, helping dancers build confidence, coordination, and artistic expression while exploring their own style.

Comp Classes

Our Competition Classes are by invitation or enquiry only and are designed for dancers ready to commit to a team environment. Students must also be enrolled in ballet and technical classes, which provide the essential foundation for strong technique and well-rounded skills. These classes focus on mastering choreography, refining technique, and building confidence, while emphasising the importance of teamwork, commitment, and supporting fellow dancers.
