Citrine Year Four Program

Citrine is our program for dancers in Year Four of their academic schooling.

Classes become more structured at this level, with increased content and higher expectations. The program supports continued development of each dancer’s confidence, communication, and technical ability, both individually and as part of a group.

It is absolutely fine if your child has not danced before — our teachers cater for a range of experience levels and support each student at their own pace.

At CMDA, Citrine students can choose pathways including recreational classes, exams, and performance opportunities.

Our Citrine Programs

Ballet Program

Our Ballet program provides a strong technical foundation for dancers, focusing on posture, alignment, strength, and classical ballet technique. Students develop coordination, flexibility, balance, and musicality in a structured and supportive environment.

At CMDA, we follow the Royal Academy Of Dance ballet syllabus.

Jazz Program

Our Jazz program encourages dancers to move with confidence and musicality. Classes focus on developing technique, coordination, flexibility, and performance skills through engaging choreography and structured training.

Dancers develop confidence and strength, in a supportive environment.

Hip Hop Program

This program focuses on rhythm, style, and performance, introducing dancers to core hip hop foundations and age-appropriate choreography. Classes build confidence, coordination, and musicality.

Students also develop strength, agility, and stage presence as they progress through the program.

Acro Program

Our Acro program develops strength, flexibility and coordination through tumbling, balancing, and foundational acrobatics. Classes are structured to challenge students safely while building confidence. Dancers progress at their own pace, developing skills and enjoying the excitement of acrobatics in a supportive environment.

Acro Contemporary Program

Our Acro Contemporary classes combine acrobatics with contemporary dance, teaching smooth transitions between floor and standing work. Students develop strength, control, coordination, and confidence, while exploring their own style and creative expression through challenging and dynamic movement.

Musical Theatre Program

Our Musical Theatre program combines singing, acting, and dancing, giving students a complete performing arts experience. Classes focus on developing skills in all three areas, helping students grow as confident, versatile performers while exploring creativity, expression, and stage presence.

Tap Program

Our Tap classes focus on rhythm, musicality, and technique, helping students develop coordination, timing, and expressive footwork. Through engaging and dynamic exercises, dancers build confidence, refine their skills, and enjoy the energy and creativity that tap dance brings to every class.

Contemporary Program

Our Contemporary Dance program introduces students to expressive and abstract movement, fluid transitions, and the fundamentals of contemporary technique. Classes encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence through engaging exercises and choreography in a supportive environment.

Cheer Program

Our Cheer program introduces students to the fundamentals of cheer, including basic chants, arm movements, and routines. Classes focus on rhythm, coordination, teamwork, and confidence, helping dancers develop self-expression while enjoying the fun and energy of a spirited team environment.

Cheer is super fun !!!

Competition Classes

Our Competition Classes are by invitation or enquiry only and are for dancers ready to commit to a team environment. Students focus on mastering choreography, refining technique, and building confidence, while learning teamwork, discipline, and the rewards of working together toward shared goals.
