Ruby Preschool Program Day Classes

Our daytime preschool dance classes are a fun and gentle introduction to dance for young children. Classes focus on movement, music and imagination while helping children build confidence, coordination and listening skills.

Each class includes simple dance steps, creative movement, music games and plenty of opportunity to move and explore. We keep classes structured yet playful, so children feel comfortable, supported and excited to come each week.

Alongside dance skills, classes also support school readiness by encouraging independence, turn-taking, following instructions, group participation and focus — all in a relaxed and positive setting.

Daytime classes run during school hours and are ideal for preschoolers, carers and parents looking for a relaxed, engaging activity.

CMDA Mini’s Program

A delightful introduction to the world of movement and rhythm! In this class, we provide a nurturing environment where toddlers can explore the joy of dance through creative play and simple exercises. We focus on developing motor skills, coordination, and self-expression in a fun and interactive setting. Led by experienced instructors, our Toddler Dance Class encourages little ones to discover the joy of movement, fostering a love for dance at an early age. Jazz Program

Our jazz program is a fun and lively introduction to music and movement.

We foster creativity, coordination, and rhythm through age-appropriate activities and simple choreography.

Our classes are designed to create a positive and encouraging environment where preschoolers can have a great time exploring dance and building confidence. Join us for a playful and energetic experience that combines music, movement, and imaginative play!

Cheer Program

Our preschool cheer program is a fun, energetic introduction to cheer for little ones. Through simple chants, basic jumps, movement games and dance, children develop coordination, balance, listening skills and confidence.

Classes are age-appropriate, playful and encouraging, giving preschoolers a positive first experience with cheer and teamwork while having lots of fun.

Ballet Program

Our Baby Ballet Program is a gentle and fun introduction to dance for young children.

Classes focus on basic ballet movement, coordination and musicality through imaginative play, simple exercises and age-appropriate routines.

Dancers build confidence, balance and body awareness while learning to follow instructions, take turns and enjoy moving with others. This program creates a positive first experience with dance and helps little ones develop a love of movement in a nurturing, encouraging environment.

Tap Program

Our Baby Tap program is a fun introduction to tap dance for little ones. Children learn basic tap steps and rhythms through music, movement games and simple routines, helping them develop coordination, timing and listening skills.

Classes are playful and supportive, encouraging confidence, self-expression and a love of dance from an early age.

Hip Hop Program

Get ready for a high-energy and rhythm-filled adventure tailored just for our littlest dancers.

In this class, we introduce preschoolers to the dynamic and expressive world of hip-hop in a fun and age-appropriate way.

Join us for a lively and rhythmic journey as we groove and move together in our Hip Hop Dance Class for Preschoolers. Let's dance our way into a world of fun and self-expression!

Program Fees

$35

Weekly Capped Fee

This includes afternoon classes also.

Capped fees do NOT include private lessons or any extra costs associated with rehearsals for concerts, eisteddfod, or any extra performances.

At CMDA, we strive to provide exceptional dance instruction and opportunities for growth to all aspiring dancers. As such, our fee structure reflects our commitment to quality education and a nurturing dance environment. Our fees are designed to be competitive and affordable, ensuring that dance education remains accessible to all.

We offer various payment options for different financial situations, including monthly instalments and discounts for siblings or multiple classes. Additionally, we understand the importance of transparency when it comes to fees, which is why we provide detailed breakdowns of costs, including tuition, costumes, and competition fees.

Please note fees are $11 per class until you reach the capped fee of $35.

At CMDA we charge a one off registration fee of $25 per student for life - this is non refundable. So once you have registered and paid this fee with us you won't be charged that again. We believe in the value of investing in dance education and are proud to offer exceptional instruction at Cathy Makin Dance Academy.
